Я пачытаў мінулае абмеркаваньне наконт трасьлітарацыі артыкулаў у лацінку й хацеў бы працяшнуць яго тут. Я асабіста вельмі зацікаўлены аб падрымцы лацінскага правапісу, таму я зьбіраюся пісаць ва ўсе неабходныя месцы каб атрымаць тэхнічны дазвол гэта рабіць і хацеў бы пачуць вашыя думкі й падтрамкі ў адказах ніжэй, калі ласка! -- Alokim (гутаркі) 11:34, 8 лістапада 2022 (+03)

Я толькі бачу магчымасьць неяк тэхнічна зрабіць пераключэньне з кірыліцы на лацінку, як гэта зроблена ў сэрбскай Вікіпэдыі. Вітаю! Як маецеся? Пастараюся перакласьці для Вас Правіла моўнай прапановы. У нашым разьдзеле хутчэй патавае становішча. Каб захаваць Беларускую Вікіпэдыю клясычным правапісам, у сакавіку 2007 году за дзень да набыцьця моцы абноўленага Правіла стварылі афіцыйны разьдзел. Абноўленае правіла вымагае код Міжнароднай арганізацыі стандартызацыі (МАС) 639 1–3, якога ў тарашкевіцы не было. Створаныя да абнаўленьня Правіла моўныя разьдзелы бяз коду захавалі, калі адначасна існавалі афіцыйныя разьдзелы. Пры гэтым, забаранілі ствараць новыя моўныя разьдзелы бяз коду. Ад 29 кастрычніка 2021 году амэрыканскі «Кансорцыюм Юнікоду» (Маўнтын-Вію, штат Каліфорнія) дадаў беларускі клясычны правапіс у 40-е выданьне Агульнага рэпазыторыя моўных зьвестак (АРМЗ) пасьля адпаведнага звароту 11 чэрвеня 2021 году. У выніку і надалей у наступных выданьнях АРМЗ архіў «core.zip» зьмяшчае ў падтэчцы «/common/main/» файл «be_TARASK.xml». Гэта дае тэхнічнае падмацаваньне выкарыстаньню тарашкевіцы ў вікіпраектах і Лінуксе без таго коду, але не дае права зьмяняць існыя або ствараць новыя моўныя разьдзелы. To be honest, I tried to find if you wrote any message, before I wrote to you, but it was not easy to do it, because we use to write on the top (and I am almost inactive as a user this year). The problem is, as I said, the new vector, especially when you are just a simple reader (I mean, when you´re not inlogged). It is extremly inconfortable and unpleasant, and if you use a "foreign" computer and is not inlogged, you can´t even choose the old version. So please, give us (both users and readers) back Vector 2010. Let the vector 2022 be as an option for people who like experiments, but we like our old good and simple interface. I have stumbled upon an issue with good & featured articles, because those articles are awarded stars in the upper right corner, which cover some letters of the menu in the "Vector (2022)" skin, as in Хвойнікі. Hello @W. Thanks for letting me know. Yes! The instruction how to do that is the same as the answer about coordinates here. The whole problem exists because the indicator tag (which we recommend to use) is "only" 8 years old, and oftentimes, the icons which are now misplaced have even older code. Прашу прынамсі паглядзець, ці стройна адлюстроўваецца памянёны праект выпраўленай галоўнай старонкі на вашых прыладах, таксама вітаюцца заўвагі, прапановы і асабліва — з улікам даволі абмежаваных магчымасьцяў — канкрэтная дапамога з удасканаленьня дызайну (пры такой патрэбе). • Fundamental improvements of the VisualEditor template dialog (1, 2),
• Improvements to make it easier to put a template on a page (3) (for the template dialogs in VisualEditor, 2010 Wikitext and New Wikitext Mode),
• and improvements in the syntax highlighting extension CodeMirror (4, 5) (which is available on wikis with writing direction left-to-right).

All these changes are part of the “Templates” project by WMDE Technical Wishes. We hope they will help you in your work, and we would love to hear your feedback on the talk pages of these projects.

Next steps: Universal Code of Conduct (UCoC) and UCoC Enforcement Guidelines

After reviewing vote results and accompanying comments, the Community Affairs Committee decided to launch a fresh round of community consultations. After that, the refined text of the Guidelines will be put for another vote.

The comments have shown that community members unequivocally support creating a safe and welcoming culture that stops hostile and toxic behaviour, supports victims of such actions, and encourages good-faith people to be productive on the Wikimedia projects. While the results did show that support for the UCoC Guidelines exceeded the required 50%+1 vote, the comments highlighted that further revisions would be required to have strong community support to follow through with enforcement.

Therefore the Committee instructed the Foundation to:

Conduct another round of community consultations, and put the newly-refined Guidelines for a community vote.

The WMF team will seek feedback on four topics that stood out among the voter comments. You can learn more about the four topics and the Committee's findings on this Meta page.

Report on Voter Feedback from Universal Code of Conduct (UCoC) Enforcement Guidelines Ratification

The Universal Code of Conduct (UCoC) project team has completed the analysis of the feedback accompanying the ratification vote on the Universal Code of Conduct Enforcement Guidelines.

Following the completion of the UCoC Enforcement Guidelines Draft in 2022, the guidelines were voted on by the Wikimedian community. Voters cast votes from 137 communities, with the top 9 communities being: English, German, French, Russian, Polish, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Italian Wikipedias, and Meta-wiki.

Those voting had the opportunity to provide comments on the contents of the Draft document. 658 participants left comments. 77% of the comments are written in English. Voters wrote comments in 24 languages with the largest numbers in English (508), German (34), Japanese (28), French (25), and Russian (12).

A report will be sent to the Revision Drafting Committee who will refine the enforcement guidelines based on the community feedback received from the recently concluded vote. Revisions to the Universal Code of Conduct (UCoC) Enforcement Guidelines

Hi all,

After the conclusion of the community vote on the guidelines in March, the Community Affairs committee (CAC) of the Board asked that several areas of the guidelines be reviewed for improvements.

Having analysed the comments of community members who participated in the vote on the Guidelines for implementing the UCoC, the CAC decided to launch another round of community consultations. Upon completion of these consultations, the community will have an opportunity to vote on the revised UCoC Implementation Guidelines.

According to the analysis, the comments highlighted three critical groups of questions:

1. On (mandatory) training in the UCoC and its Guidelines;

2. On balancing privacy protection and due process;

3. On the requirement that certain groups of users affirm they will acknowledge and adhere to the Universal Code of Conduct.

The Movement Strategy and Governance team is looking for community members to serve as election volunteers in the upcoming Board of Trustees election.

The idea of the Election Volunteer Program came up during the 2021 Wikimedia Board of Trustees Election. This program turned out to be successful. With the help of Election Volunteers we were able to increase outreach and participation in the election by 1,753 voters over 2017. Overall turnout was 10.13%, 1.1 percentage points more, and 214 wikis were represented in the election.

We are glad to inform you that the 2022 edition of Wikipedia Pages Wanting Photos campaign is coming up in July.

This is a formal invitation to invite individuals and communities to join the campaign to help improve Wikipedia articles with photos and contextual images.

The campaign primarily aims to promote using images from Wikimedia Commons to enrich Wikipedia articles that are lacking them. The Universal Code of Conduct Enforcement Guidelines Revisions committee is requesting comments regarding the Revised Enforcement Draft Guidelines for the Universal Code of Conduct (UCoC). This review period will be open from 8 September 2022 until 8 October 2022.

Hello. I'm writing on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation Web team. In two weeks, we would like to make the Vector 2022 skin the default on this wiki.

We have been working on it for the past three years. So far, it has been the default on more than 30 wikis, including sister projects, all accounting for more than 1 billion pageviews per month. On average 87% of active logged-in users of those wikis use Vector 2022.

It would become the default for all logged-out users, and also all logged-in users who currently use Vector legacy. Logged-in users can at any time switch to any other skins. No changes are expected for users of these skins.

About the skin

[Why is a change necessary] The current default skin meets the needs of the readers and editors as these were 13 years ago. Since then, new users have begun using Wikimedia projects. The old Vector doesn't meet their needs.

[Objective] The objective for the new skin is to make the interface more welcoming and comfortable for readers and useful for advanced users. It draws inspiration from previous requests, the Community Wishlist Surveys, and gadgets and scripts. The work helped our code follow the standards and improve all other skins. We reduced PHP code in Wikimedia deployed skins by 75%. The project has also focused on making it easier to support gadgets and use APIs.

[Changes and test results] The skin introduces a series of changes that improve readability and usability. The new skin does not remove any functionality currently available on the Vector skin.

• The sticky header makes it easier to find tools that editors use often. It decreases scrolling to the top of the page by 16%.
• The new table of contents makes it easier to navigate to different sections. Readers and editors jumped to different sections of the page 50% more than with the old table of contents. It also looks a bit different on talk pages.
• The new search bar is easier to find and makes it easier to find the correct search result from the list. This increased the amount of searches started by 30% on the wikis we tested on.
• The skin does not negatively affect pageviews, edit rates, or account creation. There is evidence of increases in pageviews and account creation across partner communities.

During the 2022 Wikimedia Summit, the Movement Charter Drafting Committee (MCDC) presented the first outline of the Movement Charter, giving a glimpse on the direction of its future work, and the Charter itself. The MCDC then integrated the initial feedback collected during the Summit. Before proceeding with writing the Charter for the whole Movement, the MCDC wants to interact with community members and gather feedback on the drafts of the three sections: Preamble, Values & Principles, and Roles & Responsibilities (intentions statement). The Movement Charter drafts will be available on the Meta page here on November 14, 2022. Community wide consultation period on MC will take place from November 20 to December 18, 2022. With the goal of ensuring that people are well informed to fully participate in the conversations and are empowered to contribute their perspective on the Movement Charter, three “Ask Me Anything about Movement Charter" sessions have been scheduled in different time zones. Everyone in the Wikimedia Movement is invited to attend these conversations. The aim is to learn about Movement Charter - its goal, purpose, why it matters, and how it impacts your community. MCDC members will attend these sessions to answer your questions and hear community feedback.

The “Ask Me Anything” sessions accommodate communities from different time zones. Only the presentation of the session is recorded and shared afterwards, no recording of conversations. Below is the list of planned events:

Movement Charter: End of the community consultation round 1

On behalf of the Movement Charter Drafting Committee (MCDC), we would like to thank everyone who has participated in our first community wide consultation period on the Movement Charter.

People from across the Movement shared their feedback and thoughts on the content of the Movement Charter. If you have not had the chance to share your opinion yet, you are welcome to do so still by giving the drafts a read and filling out the anonymous survey, which is accessible in 12+ languages. The survey will close on January 2, 2023. You are invited to continue to share your thoughts with the MCDC via email too: movementcharter@wikimedia.org.

What’s next?

The Movement Strategy and Governance team will publish the final report with the summary of the feedback received in January 2023. It will be shared with the MCDC and the communities via different distribution channels.

After receiving the final report, the MCDC will review the suggestions and communicate the changes by providing an explanation on how and why suggestions were or were not adopted in the next versions of the drafts. There will be additional ways to engage with the Movement Charter content in 2023, including early feedback on a proposed ratification process and new drafts of different chapters in the second quarter of 2023.

We invite you to sign-up to the MCDC monthly newsletter, it will be delivered to the Talk page of your choice. Monthly updates are available on Meta to remain updated on the progress of the MCDC.

Interested people can still sign-up to become a Movement Charter Ambassador (MC Ambassador) to support their community. The MC Ambassadors Program grant program will restart accepting applications from both individuals and groups ahead of the next round of consultations in the second quarter of 2023.

The Community Wishlist Survey (CWS) 2023, which lets contributors propose and vote for tools and improvements, starts next month on Monday, 23 January 2023, at 18:00 UTC and will continue annually.

We are inviting you to share your ideas for technical improvements to our tools and platforms. Long experience in editing or technical skills is not required. If you have ever used our software and thought of an idea to improve it, this is the place to come share those ideas!

The dates for the phases of the Survey will be as follows:

• Phase 1: Submit, discuss, and revise proposals – Monday, Jan 23, 2023 to Sunday, Feb 6, 2023
• Phase 2: WMF/Community Tech reviews and organizes proposals – Monday, Jan 30, 2023 to Friday, Feb 10, 2023

You are humbly invited to organize the Feminism and Folklore 2023 writing competition from February 1, 2023, to March 31, 2023 on your local Wikipedia. This year, Feminism and Folklore will focus on feminism, women's issues, and gender-focused topics for the project, with a Wiki Loves Folklore gender gap focus and a folk culture theme on Wikipedia.

You can help Wikipedia's coverage of folklore from your area by writing or improving articles about things like folk festivals, folk dances, folk music, women and queer folklore figures, folk game athletes, women in mythology, women warriors in folklore, witches and witch hunting, fairy tales, and more. Users can help create new articles, expand or translate from a list of suggested articles.

Organisers are requested to work on the following action items to sign up their communities for the project:

1. Create a page for the contest on the local wiki.
2. Set up a fountain tool or dashboard.
3. Create the local list and mention the timeline and local and international prizes.
4. Request local admins for site notice.
5. Link the local page and the fountain/dashboard link on the meta project page.

This year we would be supporting the community's financial aid for Internet and childcare support. This would be provided for the local team including their jury and coordinator team. This support is opt-in and non mandatory. Kindly fill in this Google form and mark a mail to support@wikilovesfolklore.org with the subject line starting as [Stipend] Name or Username/Language. The last date to sign up for internet and childcare aid from our team is 20th of January 2023, We encourage the language coordinators to sign up their community on this link by the 25th of January 2023.
